Back in the day if a programmer wanted to draw pixel to the screen, he just wrote a byte to specific memory address and the pixel would light up; nowadays to light up a pixel on screen one has to install [OpenGL](opengl.md) drivers and development libraries and write 100 lines of boilerplate code, and that is yet nothing compared to the world of [web development](webdev.md), publishing mobile "[apps](app.md)" etc.
