I accost my friend under endless starry sky.
|
||||
"Hey, Nameless? What if we threw you a party
|
||||
to find a new name which we can call you by?"
|
||||
He glares with eyes half-closed: sorrowful, most likely,
|
||||
although I know he'll never expose his feelings true.
|
||||
"I must refuse. I know I was once called by name.
|
||||
If you renamed me, I'd never be able to exhume
|
||||
what was once written but now carefully erased."
